Dear Residents Of Ward 2
Updated: Oct 21, 2020
I am announcing my candidacy for WARD 2 Councillor! https://www.facebook.com/PEOPLEFROMWARD2
Due to the unfortunate passing of Councillor Gary Baynes, the Town of BWG's Councillor – Ward 2 seat has been declared vacant. Council directing the Clerk to hold a by-election to fill the vacancy. We are saddened and pray; May God elevate his station high in paradise and give great patience to his family to bear this loss.
In this coming by-election, I am announcing my candidacy for WARD 2 Councillor. WARD 2 is an important Ward of Bradford West Gwillimbury with a mix of strong urban, a portion of our downtown, many businesses, industrial areas, rural and Farming community including the Canal and some Holland Marsh areas. It would be a privilege to represent you and fight to protect your best interests at BWG Council. Yes, it takes a tremendous investment of time, but I am hoping many of you will remember my 11+ consecutive years as a dedicated Community volunteer and Community builder. I was, and I remain, tireless.
Like many of us, I came to Canada as an immigrant and chose to settle here. Living in Bradford West Gwillimbury, I had the opportunity to start my own business and raise my family here. I have been fortunate enough to be able to give back to my Community and for this I am very thankful.

Past VP Government Affairs & Community Relations of BBT – Representative of BBT in Evaluation Committee for the Downtown Community Improvement Plan.
WHY I AM RUNNING? My answer is simple. Ward 2 needs to be heard and needs A STRONG voice to represent us in the rapidly growing community of BWG. Ward 2 needs a strong, dedicated, and passionate Councillor who reaches out to all Constituents at their door and makes sure their voices are STRONG and ALL concerns are HEARD.
I have a wonderful family that lives here in BWG and they have given me their full support to enter this race, to earn your trust, your consideration, and your vote in the November 27 to December 7, 2020 municipal election. The election really isn’t that far away. I want to be sure to get out there and meet as many of you personally and to learn first-hand what you want your Ward 2 Councillor be doing.
SOME OF THE HIGHLIGHTS OF MY PLATFORM, for a Better and Stronger Ward 2 and BWG are;
1- I will provide a strong, dedicated, and passionate Councillor to constituents of Ward 2, who reaches out to all Constituents at their doorstep and makes sure their voices are STRONG and ALL concerns are HEARD.
2- Low taxes with Fiscal responsibility, despite so many more residential and commercial developments, our property taxes are still high.
3- Further Revitalization and enhance the beauty of our Downtown and industrial areas.
4- Traffic and speeding are becoming a nightmare, especially in our downtown areas, I will initiate a revised, safe, and better traffic plan for our downtown areas.
5- We need a welcoming sign at the entrance of Bradford on 400, like Innisfil and Barrie, I will initiate and strongly urge to our council to install this welcoming sign on Highway 400 and bring our town on the map (Please stay tuned for my complete Platform).
I look forward to sharing my ideas for A STRONG Ward 2 and BWG with the residents of Ward 2 in the coming days, weeks, and months. Most importantly, I want to hear from you. BWG is a rapidly growing city. I have no doubt you have interests, concerns and some well thought out views on many issues.
