Mr. CHUDARY'S CLEAR ROADMAP FOR A STRONG WARD 5
1- Low Taxes With Fiscal Responsibility
We should keep Low Taxes with Fiscal Responsibility, despite so many more residential and commercial developments, our property taxes are still high. For a long time, we have been hearing that once new residential and commercial development are built, BWG will get a tax relief. BWG has been rapidly developing and it is time to deliver the Low Taxes especially after this difficult time of Covid-19. Most of the residents in Ward 5 are on septic and well systems, These residents deserve some form of relief from the town.
2- Traffic And Speeding
Traffic is another concern for all residents but speeding down open country roads has caused a major cause for concern among Ward 5 residents. Most people see the road is empty, there is no stop sign, people go 100, 120 km/h, We need more enforcement there, and somehow we need to control our speed on all Lines and main roads, like Highway 27, 5th Sideroad, 10th Sideroad and Yonge.
3- Affordable Bungalows Complex For Our Seniors & Young Families
Many our seniors can not afford existing very expensive seniors housing or expensive high rise condominium buildings. I am concerned with the options available to them when it comes to downsizing, there needs to be more options for them other than high-rise buildings. They prefer small, affordable bungalow complexes, where they have their buddies and some professionals to take care of their lawn and snowplowing, Our Seniors are our blessings, we are losing our seniors, they are going to other cities, like Alliston, Barrie and Innisfil." I will work hard to provide affordable Bungalow complexes for our seniors and young families.
5- Fire Station For Far West & North Areas And best possible services for all Residents of Bond Head
I would like to see fire station added to our ward to serve better and more quickly to far west and North Areas. I would also like to see the residents of Bond Head receive best possible services like water, sewage, best internet at the "best possible price", as new development comes in.
4- Preserve Prime Farmlands, Need Food Hub & Smart Growth
We are so lucky that we have Prime farmlands, Holland Marsh & Canal with well-established Holland Marsh Grower's Association. Farmers feed cities. We are so proud of our farmers and farmlands. Since Bradford is considered the 'Soup and Salad Bowl of Ontario', known for its fresh produce. I will work with the Council to develop 400 employment lands with a large food hub/terminal. This will create more agricultural/food-related jobs and will promote more opportunities for our farmers and residents. We need smart growth with proper reconstruction of the aging infrastructure to build a better town and preserve our heritage as well.
6- Welcome Sign On Highway 400
Long due, our town needs a Welcome Sign at the entrance of Bradford on 400, like Innisfil and Barrie. I will initiate and strongly urge the council to install this welcome sign on Highway 400 and bring our town on the map.
7- Strong Connected Neighbourhood
One of the main issues I hear from the ward residents is their lack of connection, due to their rural surroundings. I will implement 'Line and Street BBQs', for residents living on each Line and Street in the ward. We can meet each other, at least once a year, and that expense will come from my salary, not from our taxpayer's money.
8- A Strong, Dedicated, And Passionate Councillor For Ward 5
I will provide a strong, dedicated, and passionate Councillor to constituents of Ward 5, who reaches out to all Constituents at their doorstep and makes sure their voices are STRONG and ALL concerns are HEARD.
6 STRONG STEPS TO BUILD A STRONG WARD 5
1- BUILD A STRONG TEAM OF VOLUNTEERS
Great communities don’t just happen, “They are built through partnership, teamwork and community spirit”. Mr. Chudary is organizing a non-profitable organization called "Community First" whose main mission is to give back to the community. “Community First” is also dedicated to finding people that do amazing things within their community and expose them to the world. Life is short. Do something that matters.
2- STRONG NEIGHBOURHOODS THROUGH LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOURS AND SENSE OF STRONG COMMUNITY
Strong neighbourhoods can be built in cities, suburbs, or rural areas. Some strong neighbourhoods are quiet and peaceful; others are lively centres where businesses thrive. They are places where the community as a whole raises the children. Strong neighbourhoods connect us with others and surround us with people we can count on.
Mr. Chudary will organize many community events to bring everyone together, including semi-annual community BBQ to allow neighbors to gather together and have some family fun together. Mr Chudary will also organize youth camping trips for our children to participate in sports and outdoor activities.
3- RESPECT AND HELP OUR SENIORS
Through "Community First" organization, we will provide some voluntarily help to our seniors; help with grass cutting, snow plowing, grocery shopping, etc.
4- PROMOTION OF ALL WARD 5 BUSINESSES
By establishing a Facebook page with the name of "BWG WARD 5 Businesses", we can promote all BWG WARD 5 businesses. This will carry a campaign to encourage everyone to shop local, eat local and spend local. Support local businesses who support the area where you live, work and play. If your business or home business is in Ward 5, please contact us, we will promote your business for free! Soon we will publish a directory of all businesses within ward 5 and provide everyone with a free copy.
5- KEEP WARD 5 CLEAN
With the help of small groups of volunteers, we will adopt neighborhoods, parks and roads of Ward 5 and keep them clean. We will celebrate each clean-up event with a BBQ and fun activities.
6- SERVANT LEADERSHIP
Mr. Chudary is a strong believer of SERVANT LEADERSHIP — The leader of a people is their servant and are gracious, generous, hardworking and courteous. Through servant leadership, we can build solidarity and a sense of community.
Mr. Chudary will be a strong, dedicated and passionate Councillor of Ward 5, who will reach out to all constituents at their doorsteps and make sure their voice and Ward are STRONG and everyone's concerns are heard.
It would be a great privilege for Mr. Chudary to represent you and fight to protect your best interests at BWG Council. Yes, achievements of all these will take a tremendous investment of time, but Mr. Chudary is used to dedicating his time and services for his community. His track record of over 14 + consecutive years as a dedicated Community volunteer and Community builder (Civic Award Winner) are just some examples.
